G&B 96B 1940
Restored for a private customer.
The part was bent, cracked gouged. There are no reproduction parts available. So this piece had to be restored to keep the pump authentic. Welded, hammered straight, ground and polished.

Old Gas Pump Guys
It took nine months to make a deal to purchase this sign.
It had been on a busy Wisconsin highway (Hwy 13) for forty five years.
Then came the project to take it down.
Since all of the companies with boom trucks were 40 miles away or more,
they wanted $250-$300 to come and lay it down.
One of the local guys I found through a friend,
came with a skid steer and a boom they used to set trusses.
$100 and it was on our trailer!
The skid steer hauler was a little over kill, but fun to see pull in.
Paint stripper did the job to clean off the old paint.
Sandblasted the pole and rustproofed that.
It took two tractors to stand it up. One on each side.
